Analysis

These "seams" we feel certain originate latest, and reflect the work not of an early compiler fitting independent texts into a narrative of Wiprecht's life, but of the later scribe who made a clean copy of the whole corpus of texts, inserts, and marginal notes preserved at Pegau by the mid-twelfth century.
